Our Organisation
The team is led by Eng. Jacob Shagile; a senior Civil and Geotechnical engineer, and comprises experienced engineers, technicians, rig operator, drillers, drivers and support staff.
Eng. Jacob Shagile has more than 15 years’ work experience in the industry. He has worked in many significant projects around mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, including; redesigning the foundation system and piles in construction of Ubungo Interchange, supervising the Geotechnical Investigation works for Lot1 at Viaduct areas, and reviewing of the Geotech reports for Lot2 in Standard Gauge Railway project.
Overall the GEOUNIT team is well familiar with the local environment and tropical soils, and has been involved either fully or intermittently in the projects for the infrastructures – roads and bridges, water supply and waste water management projects, high rise buildings, ports and harbors. Overseeing Hydropower and Power Transmission projects, Telecommunication Towers, as well as Oil and Gas projects.
With a collective experience in planning the investigations, supervising fieldworks, monitoring laboratory works and analyzing the investigation results in process of production of interpretative and detailed geotechnical reports and geotechnical designs.
